Important Notice β οΈ
Several of our community members have reached out to us regarding emails they've received which claim to be offering a hotel block for PyOhio 2026, or selling the list of attendees to PyOhio 2026. Please note that these emails / companies are not affiliated with PyOhio and could very well be scams / phishing attempts.
PyOhio was not able to offer a hotel block this year and we do NOT provide our list of attendees to third parties. Please use the utmost care and review any emails you may receive with offers about PyOhio. Aside from our social media accounts, we only send out emails via our Buttondown newsletter tool or directly from pyohio.org, and we would usually not ask you to click a link to a third party site - we usually link directly to a page on pyohio.org.
Full Schedule Published π
Already registered, and wondering what to do while you wait? How about looking over the schedule of talks to see what you might be interested in? We've got a good variety of talks on various Python-related subjects. And don't forget to leave room in your plans for the "Hallway Track" and Open Spaces!
You can find the full 2026 schedule here: https://www.pyohio.org/2026/program/schedule/
T-Shirts, Round 2 π
If you missed our pre-sale to purchase a PyOhio 2026 T-shirt, have no fear! We'll be opening up a second sale in the next few days, on July 1, that will run through the event. Unfortunately, you won't be able to pick these up at PyOhio itself, but you can still have them shipped home as a great souvenir! Keep an eye on the shirt order page on our website, or on social media for the announcement!
Sponsors Welcome π
PyOhio is always interested in speaking with new sponsors! If you'd like to become a PyOhio sponsor, please review our prospectus and reach out to us!

Today's Python Tip π‘
Python has a lot of neat little syntactic tricks that are short, but really expressive! Here's just a few quick ones to get you started!
Reverse a string with slicing
reversed = mystring[::-1]
Swap variable values
a, b = b, a
Check if a variable is None / False and set a default
myvalue = myvalue or "default_value"
Thank You π
Thanks for reading, and we'll see you soon!
